Rumenox Mineral Mix

An oiled mineral blend of lime, magnesium oxide and salt designed for incorporation in blends to deliver Rumenox 400G

A thoroughly blended intermediate Rumenox premix. Designed to be added in blended dairy feed to aid dispersion and suspension to improve efficacy and safety.

NRM Rumenox Mineral Mix Contains

  • Limestone flour to deliver calcium which is typically lacking in grains and by-products relative to the needs of lactating dairy cows.
  • Fine grade magnesium oxide to deliver available magnesium which is a natural rumen buffer and essential mineral for lactating dairy cows.
  • Salt to deliver sodium which stimulates appetite and can often be lacking in pasture based diets relative to the needs of lactating dairy cows
  • 0.75g Rumenox 400G per 40g dose (to deliver 0.3gm Monensin Sodium per cows/day) for:
    — Increased milk protein production.
    — As an aid in the control of ketosis.
    — As an aid in the prevention and control of coccidiosis caused by Eimeria bovis and Eimeria zuernii.

Inclusion rates for blends

Rumenox Mineral Mix should be fed at 40g per cow per day to deliver 20g limestone flour, 10g magnesium oxide, 8g salt and 0.75 g Rumenox 400G.

Contains Rumenox 400G (300mg monensin per 40g dose)

By law the user must take care, obtaining expert advice when necessary, to avoid unnecessary pain and distress when using the product other than as directed on the label. This product must not be used for growth promotion in ruminants intended for human consumption.

DAIRY CATTLE: Provide 300mg monensin per animal per day when the supplement is fed at its recommended rate.

CONTRAINDICATIONS: Do not treat cattle with products containing erythromycin, tiamulin or oleandomycin while using Rumenox Mineral Mix. Severe growth depression may occur.

CAUTION: Do not use on equines, alpacas, llamas or dogs as fatal toxicosis may result. Do not feed to Bobby calves. Ensure recommended doses are not exceeded. Care must be exercised when feeding concurrently with other antimicrobials. It is an offence for users of this product to cause residues exceeding the relevant MRL in the New Zealand (Maximum Residues Limits of Agricultural Compound) Food Standards.

Milk: Nil
Sheep and Goats: Meat – Nil, Milk: Milk intended for human consumption must be discarded during treatment for not less than 35 days following the last treatment.
